As an award-nominated Content Creator, I never even thought that I would grace the pages of Daily Nation. 7 years ago, I never imagined that I would meet and interview the likes of Yemi Alade, Vanessa Mdee or even Huddah Monroe.
I didn’t think that I would interview Hollywood music video director Hannah Lux Davis, who is known for her shoots with Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Demi Lovato, Halsey and other big stars.
However, as I said in my interview with Nation, I had to take ownership of my career as a Content Creator. I had to learn on the job with every chance I got – from starting my own blog without any content creation knowledge to being nominated for Forbes Africa 30Under30.
One thing that has stood out the most in my career is the fact that I spent a lot of time learning; I invested any coin I could get to educate myself and get the skills that I needed to excel.
How I did it…
Getting a degree wasn’t my highest priority. I decided that my fate wasn’t solely dependent on a university qualification. I did it differently; learned on the job and focused on getting the necessary knowledge that I needed to succeed.
So getting a degree is fantastic, but for a successful career as a Content Creator, you need to take further steps and actually gain industry-specific skills.
That is why I have offered to be your mentor over the course of 12 weeks. I will guide you through all you need to know to succeed in the digital marketing industry. I have qualifications from Parsons School of Design, New York, and AVADO + Google, as well as experience in digital media for over 6 years. That’s a wealth of knowledge that you can gain so much from, and avoid making mistakes that many people make at the start of their careers in the media.
Important thing to note…
Please note that this is not a structured course or training. You will be having access to me for a total of 12 weeks on a consultation basis. I will get to work with you on the projects you have always wanted to make a reality, effectively jump-starting or relaunching your career as a content creator. I will give you access to the resources you need, and whenever I can, connections to highly successful people you can collaborate with. That being said, the value you get from this engagement highly depends on your individual effort and willingness to make the most out of this opportunity.
The commitment is $750 for the 3 months, and this could be the career-changing move you need to make. You can do that via M-Pesa, PayPal, or bank transfer.
You may ask, why should I pay for mentorship? One thing for sure is, quality mentorship is better than free mentorship. I myself invested in a lot of training, both financially and sacrifice-wise. Good mentors have connections and that is a wealth of opportunities they bring along. Above all, you avoid making simple but costly mistakes that may take many years to recover from.
